Today’s Observation July 24, 2026
Markets don’t always become riskier.
Sometimes, risk simply changes location.
Over the past few days we’ve observed an interesting pattern:
• Oil prices have moved sharply higher.
• Treasury yields are rising.
• Technology stocks are under pressure.
• Market breadth continues to deteriorate.
Yet…
• Credit spreads remain unusually calm.
• Banks show no signs of stress.
• System-wide liquidity remains stable.
This doesn’t describe a financial crisis.
It describes something more subtle.
Stress appears to be migrating across asset classes rather than building everywhere at once.
That distinction matters.
Markets often give their earliest signals not through a single dramatic event, but through small inconsistencies that gradually begin to connect.
At BRIX, we don’t start with conclusions. We start with observations, connect evidence across markets, and allow signals to emerge only when the evidence supports them.
